Born
November 9th 1931 in Hector MN..Graduated from Hector High School in 1949.
Attended Gustavus Adolphus college for a semester before entering the US Air
force in April 12, 1951.
After basic training at Lackland AFB TX. I attended Military Police (AP)
training at Camp Gordon Ga.and then on to Moody AFB (SAC) Valdosta GA.,
Lockbourne AFB in Columbus OH. and then one year at Sidi Sliamane AFB in
French Morocco. After overseas duty I spent the remainder of my enlistment
at Castle AFB Merced Ca. where on September 23 rd 1954 our daughter was
born. I was Honorably discharged on April 11,1955.
Our son was born 4 years later in St. Paul, MN.
I married Jean Johnson in November 8th 1952 and have been married for almost
59 years. We have two children, 6 grand children and 2 great grand children.
I graduated from Metropolitan State University with a BA degree in 1975.
I worked at the 3M company in the Business products division (facsimile
Div.) as a Administrative Supervisor and retired in 1993.
We moved to Bella Vista in 1994. I am active member of the Highlands
Methodist church. I play golf, played softball until 2010 and I'm a member
of the Bella Vista Honor Guard and a member of the Veterans Council of
NW.AR.
