
I
was born December 16, 1942, in
Gardner, Massachusetts.
I grew up in Brockton,
Mass.
until age 14 and then I moved to
California. I worked for Sonic Blueprint Co. in
Sunnyvale, California part time and graduated from
Cupertino
High School in
1962.
On November 1, 1962, I
joined the United States Air Force. I attended Basic Training at
Lackland AFB in
San Antonio, Texas.
In December 1962, I attended
Photographic
Technical
School at Lowry
AFB,
CO
and upon completion; I attended Advanced
Photographic Techniques at the same facility.
My 1st
Duty Assignment was at Shaw AFB in
South Carolina. I was assigned to the 363rd
Tactical Reconnaissance Technical Squadron
providing aerial photography, film processing and photo intelligence
during the Cuban Crisis.
My 2nd
assignment was at Clark AFB,
Philippines
during the early stages of the Viet Nam War. I was assigned to the 636th
Combat Support Group, where I
provided Still photography, aerial photography, photographic
intelligence and photographic Supply services. I had over 14 temporary
duty assignments in as many different countries including Viet Nam.
I was honorably
discharged at Travis AFB, California on Oct. 20, 1966.
In November, 1969, I
married Carolyn Gray and we have one son. While still in
California, I was an Engineering Technician for
Memorex Corporation and later Amdahl Corporation.
In 1976 we moved to
Hurst,
Texas,
where I worked as a building superintendent. In 1981, I started Lindsey
Construction Co., and owned and operated it for 27 years.
We moved to Bella Vista
in 1999 and we are active members of
Highlands
United
Methodist
Church.
I joined the American
Legion in 2008 and I am also a member of the Bella Vista Veterans Honor
Guard.
